Float my Boat

I guess the talk around these parts is still of the weather!

Last Tuesday the ground was covered with a blanket of snow.

This is the view of our pond in the backyard.

But over the weekend we had rain, warm temperatures and a lot of melting.

This week our view changed dramaticaly!

The dock is sticking out of the ice.

The boats are about sunk!

And the water continues to rise!

Things froze up again over night, which stopped the water from getting any higher.

As I look out my window flakes of snow are flying thru the sky.

Could this weather get anymore stanger?

Mother Nature please change your mind!

Bring some warmth!

Bring some sunshine!

Make my yard turn to green!

Make my flowers grow!

Just please quit making it snow!

Liz

  3. Oh, me! Hope you get that sunshine soon. Your backyard view looks like it would be lovely no matter the season, though!

  4. I hope you see good weather soon. We got 7 inches of snow on Friday, then rain all weekend and we still have snow on the ground. I'm not sure when we will see ground but I sure hope it's soon. Hope you see it soon as well. Hang in there, Spring starts next week.

  5. Since I am only a state away from you, the weather is the same here and it STINKS!!! We got snow overnight and the roads were real slick this morning. It's cloudy and gloomy and well, I need some sunshine too! We're getting there....(is what I keep telling myself). :)

  6. We had snowflakes here again today, too. Yesterday, I almost bought a bunch of pansies when I visited a greenhouse with my friend. Glad I didn't now! Your view is lovely!

  7. Hi Liz, thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I am waiting for warmer weather and bright sunshine although I know we need more moisture here.
