Keeping busy!

Things have just been busy, busy around here!

We have had a couple of showings on our house in town.
That means making sure the place is in tip top shape.
It hasn't been easy with rain and puppy prints on the hardwood floors.
I have to load the baby up with all of his gear. Along with the dogs and their cages.  Then we have to disappear from the house for an hour or 2.
Thankfully we have the farmhouse for a retreat.

Sadly no offers yet!

I have been putting together a scrapbook of the remodeling at the farm.
Here are a few of the transformations on our little house.

This is what it looked like the first time we drove by.

You can't see from here but the front porch was falling off. We decided to take it off.

The roof was the next project.

The guys found 6 layers of shingles weighing this poor old house down. I think it heaved a sigh of relief when the old ones were removed!

The next step was reciding.
We settled on the traditional farmhouse white.

Two windows were removed and a few were replaced with energy efficient panes.

This is what the little white farmhouse looks like today.

I am still not sure what to do to finish off the front porch. But have since added a green, wooden screen door.

The landscaping is yet to come.
Many ideas and plans run through my mind for that.

I keep praying that someone will fall in love with our house in town and buy it so we can move forward with our dream to move back to the country.

All in good time, right?

Liz

  1. It will happen when it is supposed to happen. However, I agree, the waiting is very hard.

Love the changes to the farmhouse so far!

  5. It is a lot of work to have a house on the market! So hard to keep it clean 24/7 because you never know when someone will want to stop by for a showing. Good luck and I hope you get an offer soon!
